PSL playoff: Karachi Kings makes there way forward, Islamabad United eliminated

SHARJAH:Karachi Kings maintain their cool and qualifies for the next stage in the PSL2017. Islamabad United got out on 82 while chasing 127. Imad Wasim was declared man of the match. Karachi Kings will now play against Peshawar Zalmi on Friday in the 3rd play off. The winner of this match will play Quetta Gladiators in the final on 5th March at Lahore.

When Islamabad United started chasing, Karachi Kings defended their score quiet comfortably. Islamabad United couldn’t maintain their batting unity and were bowled out on 82.

Smith managed only 8 runs, Asif made 39, captain Misbah was out on 13 while Waston managed just 8 runs.

Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Usama Mir took 3 wickets each while Sohail Khan took one wicket. Karachi Kings were well defined as a unit in the field and there ground fielding was amazing.

Earlier on, Rumman Raees bagged 4 wickets as Islamabad United restricted Karachi Kings to 126 in the second play-off of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sharjah.

Sent into bat first, Karachi Kings failed to build any momentum through out the innings and kept on losing wickets before being bundled out for 126 in the last over.

Earlier, Islamabad had won the toss and elected to bowl.
